THE JOURNEY TO 2030 BEGINS…WSCA is pleased to announce its annual Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the WSCA gymnasium. Due to venue capacity constraints, each graduating eighth-grade student will be allotted five (5) guest tickets. The graduating student does not require an admission ticket. Tickets will be distributed to students on Tuesday, May 26th, during their designated pack time class. Should additional tickets be desired, families are encouraged to coordinate directly with other graduating students and their families to inquire about potential surplus tickets. Please note that the school is unable to help facilitate this exchange.
The promotion ceremony celebrating our students' transition from middle to high school is a special event. To honor this achievement, we encourage a semi-formal dress code. A promotion practice is scheduled for June 3rd during the school day. Students should arrive for the evening ceremony promptly at 5:40 PM, with doors opening at 5:15 PM. We look forward to a wonderful evening of celebration with you and your graduate.
Recommended Eighth-Grade Promotion Attire
Collared shirt – button up
Dress/ casual pants – no denim
Tie (encouraged)
Dress, a nice blouse, and a skirt or pants
Please be cautious if you decide to wear heels to ensure you can navigate the stage safely.
**No tennis shoes (if at all possible)
**No shorts
**No tank tops
**No jeans
All student attire should be consistent with Western Sierra’s school dress code.
