I am excited to be teaching Math 7/Math 8 (Rocklin Academy) and Computer Science (WSCA) this year.  I also manage the APEX online learning program, and am the coach for the WSCA Swim team.

 

My goals are to make learning relevant to the learners, and to prepare them for further studies as well as the world beyond school.  I focus on students and their engagement with the learning material by providing a variety of learning opportunities and modalities. 

 

I was born and raised in New Zealand, and have resided in the U.S.A since 1996. I hold both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, and a Diploma of Secondary Teaching from the University of Auckland Secondary Teachers College, as well as a California Teaching Credential.
