My name is Mrs. Angel Call. I earned a Master's Degree in Education, along with my CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, from the University of Phoenix in June 2008. I worked my first three years at a school in Clearlake, CA. I began working at Western Sierra in October of 2011.In 2015, I successfully completed the work necessary to add a Single Subject Credential for English which was granted in March 2016. I worked hard at submitting the course work for UC approval for our three levels of HS Theatre and am so happy with the growth of this program! Prior to my credentialed teaching career, I taught preschool for 9 years! I truly enjoy working with children and youth.

As a child and a teenager I was involved in multiple performing arts activities. I participated in church and school theatrical productions, including having a solo in a musical review. I began assisting with the musical productions here at Western Sierra and then was the theatrical director of our musicals beginning in 2016. Some of our musicals have included: "Oklahoma" (2019), Disney's "The Little Mermaid" (Fall 2019), the incredible Disney musical "Newsies" (2022), "Little Women" (2023), and "Beauty and the Beast" (2024).  Our theatre program also produces 2-3 additional major shows each year. I performed in concert and marching bands and was a competitive cheerleader and level 7 gymnast. I am excited that Western Sierra's performing arts program is growing and thriving!

I also have passion for music, animals, and my family. I play flute and piano and I would like to learn to play guitar and mandolin. I have two dogs, Scout and Oakley. Previous dogs that I have owned in my life include: Penny, Zorro, Sam, Peanut, and Lady. One day I will own and operate a dog rescue/rehabilitation/training center! I am also passionate about getting healthier and helping others to do the same for themselves. I've lost a significant amount of weight and gained so much health and vitality! I began coaching/mentoring others recently and am excited about that adventure in my life.

I have been married for over 20 years. We were unable to have children of our own, but we do have 23 nieces and nephews! I have 3 sisters and one brother who mean the world to me. I also feel so blessed to be a part of my students' lives for as long as they are in my classes and often refer to them as mine.

My favorite things to do are to go on fun, athletic adventures and hang out with my family. I also enjoy rainy weather, reading, and hot chocolate!

I am excited to be working at Western Sierra and look forward to working with your student. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.

My hours are: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
